Claro Carwash Acquires One2Wash to Expand in the Netherlands

Zaandam and Hoorn locations join Claro’s growing network of premium car washes.

Claro Carwash has expanded into Noord-Holland with the acquisition of two One2Wash sites in Zaandam and Hoorn. The move marks Claro’s first step into the region, adding a well-established business known for its local presence.

Founded by Edward Verdoold in 2012, One2Wash grew from a single location in Zaandam into a respected brand with a reputation for quality and innovation. Verdoold later acquired and expanded the Hoorn site, building a dedicated team that continues to drive the success of both operations.

“The decision to pass on what you have built is not an easy one. But it feels right knowing that the team, truly the driving force of the company, will have the space to continue to develop within Claro,” said Verdoold.

Claro CEO Hein Castelijns added: “Noord-Holland is a strategically important region for us, and we look forward to working with our colleagues in Zaandam and Hoorn.”

The acquisition strengthens Claro’s footprint in a region with significant growth potential. The company now operates 27 car wash locations across the Netherlands and four in Germany under various premium brands.
