Through its national partnership with Folds of Honor, ZIPS recognized three local students from military families. Each student received a $500 academic scholarship during the event.

Commitment to community reinvestment at ZIPS Car Wash Knoxville
Pete Nani, CEO of ZIPS Car Wash, stated, “After many years of serving this community, we are proud to offer our Knoxville customers an upgraded experience and more visually appealing stores along their city streets. We are dedicated to reinvesting in the communities we serve by updating our facilities, enhancing employee training, and celebrating local heroes, including military families and teachers.”

Rebecca Latacz, chief marketing officer at ZIPS Car Wash, confirmed upgrades at five Knoxville locations. She said ZIPS will address more sites soon. She noted the improvements enhance customer experiences across the Knoxville area. Latacz invited the community to visit.

Supporting military and first responder families
ZIPS proudly supports military and first responder families through site upgrades and its partnership with Folds of Honor. In 2024, ZIPS and customers donated over $92,000 to Folds of Honor. These contributions supported academic success for military and first responder families. The brand expects to reach a $100,000 donation in 2025.

ZIPS recognized three local students and their families at the ceremonies:

  • Karen Meece, Megan’s sister, also of Corryton, Tennessee, is a senior at Liberty University. She is majoring in Psychology and Military Resilience. Karen hopes to earn her master’s degree in January. She also plans to continue serving the military community as a Licensed Therapist. Their father, Christopher Dale Meece, served 20 years in the U.S. Army. He served in Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Iraq and Afghanistan. He became disabled in the line of duty.
