Woodie’s Wash Shack Accelerates Growth with New Site Groundbreakings and Industry-Leading Performance

Admin |

Woodie’s Wash Shack, one of Florida’s fastest-growing car wash brands, is charging ahead with its aggressive expansion strategy, announcing new groundbreaking activity and record-breaking unit performance across its footprint.

Known for its iconic 1950s surf culture vibe and exceptional guest experience, Woodie’s is focused on strategic, selective acquisitions and organic development as part of its plan to solidify the already dominant market position across the Greater Tampa Bay area and beyond.

This past weekend, Woodie’s celebrated the groundbreaking of what will be their 17th location at The Grove in Wesley Chapel, one of Pasco County’s premier lifestyle destinations. In addition, construction is underway at 1590 34th Street South in St. Petersburg, further adding to the 5 locations operating in Pinellas County alone. Behind that are additional locations in Palm Harbor and Apollo beach that will help further solidify their dense footprint in the Greater Tampa Bay area.

“We’ve been intentional about how and where we grow,” said Paul Sigfusson, President & CFO at Woodie’s Wash Shack. “Our team is focused on high-quality real estate and delivering the best experience in the industry – and the numbers show its working”

Woodie’s is actively pursuing acquisitions that complement their existing footprint in Tampa Bay, with a focus on filling in key trade areas where the Woodie’s presence is already strong. By applying the Woodie’s operating model and brand to existing car wash locations, the company sees an immediate lift in unit economics, guest satisfaction, and member growth. “We were pleased to recently partner with United Community Bank as a financing partner to support our growth and look forward to continuing to expand our relationships with local lending partners and high net worth individuals who are backing the best car wash brand and operating platform in Tampa” said Paul Sigfusson.

Woodie’s has built a best-in-class reputation as the home-team car wash of Tampa Bay. The customer loyalty and brand strength gives Woodie’s a unique advantage in repositioning acquired sites under its surf-inspired concept – turning underperforming locations into standout performers.

The company’s performance is outpacing industry benchmarks, particularly in membership growth. Woodie’s boasts more than double the average number of active members per location compared to national industry averages – a testament to its operational consistency, distinctive branding, and deep-rooted community presence.

“There’s no question our model works – when we bring the Woodie’s experience, branding, and team culture into an acquisition, we see results fast” said Randy Nicholls, VP of Operations. “We’re not just buying sites – we’re bringing them into a movement that’s redefining car washing in Florida.”

With record unit economics and multiple additional projects in the pipeline for late 2025 and early 2026, Woodie’s Wash Shack is riding strong into the next wave of expansion.
