Mike's Carwash proudly presented a check for $76,053.64 to seven local Big Brothers Big Sisters chapters on Wednesday, May 23.
The donation was a result of Mike's ninth annual Get a Wash, Give a Future fundraiser. Each year the company partners with Big Brothers Big Sisters for a one-day event and pledges to donate half the proceeds from every Ultimate and Works Wash sold at all 23 locations. This year's event was held on Saturday, May 12 and due to poor weather, the event was extended to include May 19 at Mike's Fort Wayne and Mishawaka stores.
"Year after year, the Mike's Carwash event is an amazing day for Big Brothers Big Sisters," said Deb Haas, marketing and PR director of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Cincinnati. "Our Bigs and Littles, board members, local schools and businesses, cheerleaders and mascots team up to join Big Brothers Big Sisters and Mike's in the effort to raise funds so that we can match more children with mentors. We appreciate the chance to meet and thank the customers, and let them know the importance of their - and Mike's - donations. 2018 is the ninth year of this partnership and we cannot thank Mike's Carwash enough for this commitment, generosity and support of Big Brothers Big Sisters."
"Thank you to all of our customers that came out during our annual Get a Wash, Give a Future fundraiser in support of Big Brothers Big Sisters," said Mike Dahm, president of Mike's Carwash. "We look forward to this fundraiser every year and could not give back in such a big way without the support of all our team members and customers!"
