About the Survey
Since the mid-1990s, International Carwash Association has conducted a national survey of U.S. car owners about their car washing habits. For the 2019 edition, data was gathered from an online survey fielded to 1,800 respondents to own or lease a vehicle who were 18 years or older.
In the last study, members requested greater access to data pertaining to their specific region and wash type. So for the first time in the history of the study, the findings are being made available in special segments, including data reports customized by region of the country, and special brochures detailing consumer attitudes and behaviors depending on your wash type.
Since International Carwash Association began conducting these large-scale, quantitative consumer studies back in 1996, never before have we seen such widespread use of professional car washes.
