  • To the next level with WaterSavers

    by Matt DeWolf | Aug 31, 2011

What an amazing trip we had to Atlanta this past weekend – a great start to taking the WaterSavers program “to the next level.”

Just in case you aren’t aware, ICA’s environmental awareness program for car wash operators took a major new step last week with the addition of several consumer outreach initiatives.  Specifically:

    1. The launch of, a new consumer oriented website designed to carry the good news of professional car washing to consumers – and help them locate a WaterSavers car wash.
    2. The start of our WaterSavers city tours.  Our logo-wrapped WaterSavers car toured Atlanta, with visits to water regulators, a promotional event at a Triple A baseball game and stops at area WaterSavers locations.
    3. A new consumer oriented Facebook page, to compliment the new consumer website and our @Water_Savers consumer Twitter account.
And, to give you a sneak peek, on Monday we taped a spot that will air on radio stations throughout the U.S. this fall in partnership with “a major environmental organization.”  More to come on this…
So, what does this mean for you?
Well, if you’re not a member of WaterSavers, you’re going to get some benefit – but not all.  As we do more to educate consumers and water regulators about professional car washing, the tide will lift your boat too.
But what if you don’t want to just wait for the tide to rise? Simple: you need to join WaterSavers!
For a very affordable annual fee beginning at $49, you can be included in our online listing of locations, use our WaterSavers logo and be provided door decals and a lobby certificate for display to your customers.  For more information, call (888) 422-8422 and ask for Claire or Carrie.
Honestly, how can you not join WaterSavers?  If you’re not participating, you’re not just missing out – you’re being left behind.
    I welcome your comments.
