Crew Carwash, a long-standing Hoosier-based carwash organization, announces today that it is donating $94,259 to Big Brothers Big Sisters, thanks to the generous donations of their customers.
As part of its eighth annual Crew for Kids fundraiser, which took place Saturday, July 29, Crew Carwash committed to donating 50 percent of all Works washes and Ultimate washes, at all 30 locations to Big Brothers Big Sisters. Crew also accepted cash and credit donations at all locations throughout the day.
The initiative resulted in a total of $94,259 to be donated to five local Big Brothers Big Sisters agencies from across Indiana. The agencies to receive the proceeds from this fundraiser include: Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Indiana, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Lafayette, Big Brothers Big Sisters of South Central Indiana, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Metropolitan Chicago and Big Brothers Big Sisters of Wabash Valley.
“As we continue our initiative to help improve the lives of children across the state of Indiana we were proud to partner once again with Big Brothers Big Sisters for the eighth year in a row,” said Sally Grant, executive vice president of Crew Carwash. “Our team members look forward to our Crew for Kids fundraiser every year and we are ecstatic to be able to donate so much this year thanks to the kindness of our customers.”
Last year, Crew raised more than $44,000 for Big Brothers Big Sisters. In total, the company has raised nearly $400,000 for the nonprofit since its inaugural Crew for Kids fundraiser in 2010. A check presentation with Crew and Big Brothers Big Sisters executives will be held at thedowntown Crew Carwash location (1219 N. Meridian Street Indianapolis IN) Thursday, August 3rd at 12 p.m.
