Autobell® Car Wash Inc., based here, awarded 130 employees in the Carolinas, Virginia, and Georgia its 2016 academic scholarships toward the college or university of their choice, with this year's gifts totaling $173,250. Since its inception, the Autobell Scholarship Program has awarded over $1.1 million in academic funds to employees.
The Autobell Scholarship is an annual program open to current Autobell employees of at least 12 months continuous employment who are graduating high school seniors or have received a high school diploma. Along with a completed application, candidates must submit references, an acceptance letter from an accredited college or university, and an essay that discusses an educational or creative aspect of their employment experience. The Autobell Selection Committee reviews all applications and chooses the scholarship recipients.
