During 2015, Autobell® Car Wash’s Charity Car Wash Program helped raise $634,398 for charities, schools, and other nonprofits in North and South Carolina, Virginia, and Georgia. The Charlotte-based company’s program began in 1998 and has assisted nonprofits in raising over $7.6 million to date.
Through the program, Autobell provides 501(c)(3) groups with full-service car wash tickets custom-printed with the organization's name that are sold by the nonprofit at full price and honored at all Autobell locations. Fundraisers keep 50% of the proceeds from all ticket sales.

Some notable Autobell fundraisers in 2015 included an Alpharetta, GA, lacrosse club that raised $5,064; a Charlotte, NC, Boy Scout troop with proceeds of $6,432; and a Virginia Beach, VA, assisted living and nursing facility that brought in $2,000.
“Nonprofits continue to find this program a simple and effective way to reach their fundraising goals," stated Autobell CEO Chuck Howard. "It eliminates the need for organizers to plan and execute a parking lot car wash or other large-scale fundraiser, worry about rain dates, or incur any upfront cost.
"And since all Autobell locations treat 100% of the wash water used and recycle up to 100%, organizations can feel satisfied they're encouraging supporters to utilize the most environmentally friendly method for washing their cars."
Autobell Car Wash is America's second largest conveyor car wash company, with 72 locations in North and South Carolina, Virginia, and Georgia. The company was founded in 1969 in Charlotte, NC, and remains privately held and family-operated.
