Use Fun Facts to Freshen Up Your Ad 
 

Using fun facts can give your advertising a sense of humor and be a great attention getting device. In late 2002 the International Carwash Association, as part of its Car Love consumer public relations campaign, interviewed 1,000 automobile owners about the relationships they have with their cars. What we found is that Americans LOVE their cars but they don’t always take care of them.


Some of the findings of the survey included:

It's a fact: We're smitten with our cars... but we don't take care of them!

  • 84% of American car owners "love" or "like" their cars.
  • 62% say car appearance is very or extremely important.
  • Only 15% take excellent care of their cars

Yuck!

  • 61% of car owners have ever left trash in their cars.
  • 18% say they leave trash in their cars a lot ("frequently" or "often").
  • 26% say their car has smelled because of trash.
