Self Serve Car Wash
What is a good wall covering for a self-service carwash?  My wash is currently unpainted block and it is getting old looking.

The best is white FRP.  I used a 3/16" think material that is pricey, but cleans up pretty good and still looks good after 12 years.  Painting block is a continuing no win.  Although there are operators that swear by it, mostly in the south.  If you have no freeze/thaw effect, I guess you can keep up with painting.  In the north, I have never seen a painted bay that looked good several month after the painting.  I have tried all kinds of paints, even two part epoxy coatings.  They always chip away at the corners, peel and look bad.  I've seen new SS's with white PVC that looks real good at the start, but after a few wacks it cracks and chips.

I've painted several washes, mostly ending up in disaster. I have covered two of my washes with PVC panels and like the look, but they are getting pretty dirty and I'm not looking forward to cleaning them. I have quite a bit of wall to clean and am also not too keen on using the harsh acid required to clean them. Both of these issues keep me putting this job off for too long.
