Car Wash Show Europe

ICA announces Car Wash Show Europe Advisory Committee members

Feb 25, 2015

The International Carwash Association spent several years visiting car wash operators and suppliers in Europe in order to gain an understanding of the European market. We have also listened to the ideas provided by those who have visited the event in the United States coming from Europe. At the end of the day, we are not only focused on a successful event - our mission is the success of the car wash industry.

As the Car Wash Show Europe is for the industry and by the industry, we have appointed an Advisory Committee that, based on their experience in the industry, will help us with valuable input for the overall programme of the show. We are happy to announce the following members:

Martin van Poortvliet - Autowas H2OMartinvanPoortvliet, The Netherlands
My name is Martin van Poortvliet and I’m 37 years old. During my study I worked part-time in a carwash. It was a franchise organisation. At the age of 21, I finished my school, Business Economy. After finishing my study, I started my own business, participating into this franchise-organisation. A few years later I sold this franchise-carwash and built a complete new carwash in Rotterdam, called Bubbles Carwash. This is a 25 meter long carwash, 9 vacuum- cleaners and 4 self-service wash-places.

In 2011, I started a new location together with my companion Hans Lenting, called Autowas H2O Leiden. A 65 meter long tunnel with 26 vacuum cleaners, all in one building. At this moment we are building a new location in Spijkenisse. A unique project for the Netherlands: first a pre-wash tunnel of 25 meters with a dual belt conveyor and then the main tunnel of 30 meters, also with a dual belt conveyor. After washing, customers can vacuum their car on one of the 24 vacuum-cleaning places.
I always try to give customers the feeling they getting value for their money, that’s what counts!
I hope to see you all at Car Wash Show Europe!
